Consultation

Since 2012, I have used my experience in the field to provide consultation and supervision to colleagues and developing clinicians. Our appointments can be administrative or clinical in nature, and a hybrid of clinical and administrative support is available to individuals in private practice, agency, and group practice settings.

Administrative Support: Administrative Consultation can be helpful for individuals who are starting, expanding, or looking for help maintaining a psychotherapy practice. Administrative sessions can help with marketing a practice, making decisions around paneling with insurance companies, developing appropriate fee and collection practices, and developing practice policies specific to the individual needs of the clinician. This includes help developing practice forms, ensuring proper clinical documentation for the practice, and help with understanding billing both clients and insurance companies. Tips and strategies will be given that can save time, money, and energy in as little as 1-2 administratively focused sessions.

Clinical Support: Clinically focused consultation is available to help clinicians become more effective psychotherapists. Consultation can support clinicians in a variety of ways including understanding the therapist’s impact on the clinical work, supporting the development of case conceptualizations, and exploring helpful and effective interventions and strategies. My perspective will be informed by my training in DBT, attachment theory, and self-psychology. Support will be tailored to the individual needs of the clinician, and I will work with you to help you understand how to effectively work with yourself and your clients.
