I provide outpatient therapy to adults, couples, and adolescents. I have provided successful therapy for people struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, parenting adjustments, occupational/academic difficulties, interpersonal conflict, and relationship problems.
I am available to provide either short-term or long-term treatment and will discuss treatment options and preferences with you as we begin our work together. I typically see individuals once a week for 50 minutes, but adjustments can be made based on need, schedule, and reasons for presenting to treatment.
In addition to providing general therapy I am also available to provide specialized Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills training. Please visit my Dialectical Behavior therapy page for more information about this service.
For individuals wishing to know more about the theories informing my practice I have provided the following links to Wikipedia for an informal and accessible breakdown of influential theories. If you are interested in more scholarly information I can provide referrals to authors and books upon request. With couples, my work is primarily informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy. With individuals, my work is informed by a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Self Psychology.
Unsure how therapy works? This article will help you figure out how to pick a therapist, and this one will help you make the most of your treatment. I am also available to discuss this further with you as we work together.
